Qualifications:
- Proven experience (typically 2–5 years) as a Diesel Mechanic or Light/Heavy Truck Mechanic in a commercial/trucking environment.
- Proficient in welding (MIG, TIG, stick) and basic fabrication techniques is a plus.
- Strong ability to isolate mechanical or electrical faults under time constraints.
- Logical reasoning skills and attention to detail when reading wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Must be able to lift and maneuver parts and tools. o Comfortable working in various conditions (indoors/outdoors, in pits or on lifts, under vehicles).
- Able to stand, bend, crouch, and climb frequently.
- Comfortable working with hazardous materials (oils, solvents, coolants) following proper safety guidelines.
- Clear verbal communication when discussing inspection results, repair recommendations, and estimated completion times with supervisors or drivers.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and coordinate with parts department, service advisors, or dispatchers.
- Organized and able to manage time efficiently when juggling multiple repair orders
